Bamboozled No More! God and Us

I imagine God has one Hell of a sense of humor,
For which I am eternally grateful!
How else to explain why we are still here,
Despite the efforts of some to blow up our world?
Humans have a real gift
For making good things ungood.
Soap Opera/comedy/ drama:
A cast of billions upon billions of folks,
Production costs continually escalating,
Too many directors, Not enough cast and crew.
It’s a bad sign when the agents leave town!
Word is that God, the Devil and the lost souls
From Purgatory walked out together and
The eventual happened…
Earth lost its celestial/interplanetary appeal.
See what happens when goodwill is not equally distributed?

Bamboozled No More! Supreme Court Blues

How much shock and awe did you expect?
Kavanaugh steps to the Supreme Court.
It was anticipated:
Cosby out; Kavanaugh in.
“Throw a bone to the bitches.”
That’ s the message.
Satisfaction for the ole boys.
Women don’t need an education.
They just need to be kept in place!

Bamboozled No More! A Prayer from the Tech Challenged to God

Good Morning God.
Its me again.
I know I must wear you out,
But as you know I am stubborn
And I wear my self out.
I have this habit/gift
for getting in my own way.

And still You know me
And still You have faith in me
And still You love me
And again I will mention how grateful I am
For your sense of humor and patience

The greatest wall I face is me.
Why does it take me so long to get your messages?
There’s a new TV show this season.
The title is something like “God Friended Me!”
I haven’t seen the show yet
But the title is stressing me.

Technology!?!?

You know I am tech challenged.
I appreciate all your thumps on my head
But again I am stubborn.
Reminder: I inherited my stubbornness from you.
A gift and a curse.
I am OK at texting
But hugs are better.
I need you now and forever.

Your loving and stubborn daughter
JC

PS
Keep me close
Don’t try to text me

PS
Coincidence about initials. My mom knew in advance I would need a lot of help!

Bamboozled No More! What Do You Say to God?

Wonder how many people
open their conversations with God
using a line like
“Its me again” or “Guess what?”
which are followed by updates/modifications
to a previous prayer.

Can we say anything to God?
Do we censor?
I mean we are talking to God about God!
Do we say “thank you” enough?
Do we edit/rewrite our requests to God
the day after?

Do we prepay or pay upon delivery?
And what about those unexpected shipping costs?
Are we trying to apply an outdated credit
to yesterday’s prayer because it was unanswered?

Do we renegotiate based upon some absurd
quality control issues?
And who has the authority
to move the issue/request
from God’s ears to customer service?

Now imagine or not, God’s possible replies:
“Sure tell me anything.”
“Who do think you are talking to?”
“Say what?!?

Bamboozled No More! Perspectives

No longer content sitting across the aisle
She finally walked over and asked me
“What are you doing?”
“Everyday I see ) you sit with that book and, what is that stuff?”
I opened my book and showed her my sketches.
She yelled, “You draw pictures, no future in that…”
Content with her answers, she returned to her seat.
and I thought, Yeah, just not half as practical as investing
in a hundred scratch tickets.

Bamboozled No More! Deliver Me

God guide & protect us in all places we occupy physically, spiritually, and mentally,
For there are some for whom a crumb is enough.
There are others for whom a crumb is the best they could ever know or want.
And as quiet as it’s kept, even the devil can cry when necessary.
