Entropy

This thing again-
This thing that comes!
This thing that stays.
Penetrates…
fecundates…
Festers and Soils?
Swelling from the parasite that lingers in fingers and lobes.
redolent parasite that deceives and receives and leaves and comes
and stays and stays and stays
this thing has a conscience,
a beating heart,
This thing is not me or you or us or them or they or we.
It is
It just is
It is just there and always disarray yet
Stagnant.

Erin Lynne Burns: “I am as old as dirt and more bitter than bitters but am looking to occupy my time once again with a quick pen and some imperfect prose.”
