“The Past Is Catching Up With You” © Jury S. Judge
I’ve got it all worked out
Bleeding, breathing, breeding, a human girl,
Conniving, conceited, existentially depleted,
Doesn’t the very thought get you going?
The world has a misery kink and I’m it’s whore.
Deception, a common misconception, the unthinkable thought
That you might actually know what you’ve done.
And I’m a genius, and I’m a mastermind, and I’ve got you figured out.
I’ve got it all worked out.
A marionette and a masochist, it’s not symbiotic,
It’s interpersonal masturbation.
How can you control what doesn’t have a mind of its own?
Tell me my role and let’s get on with the show.
Fleeting, feeding, failing, fleeing.
You want to eat me alive.
Slimy and grotesque and overly obsessed.
You’re going to eat me alive.
God’s curled fist and the devil’s forked tongue,
It’s going to eat me alive.
Clean up after yourself when all is said and done.
I’m going to eat you alive.
