Quit the empire whole world upside down
we see the Empire has now quit on all of us
Agent Orange Head’s perfect economy the 1%
in shatter shambles the recession started before
the pandemic social shut down with hundreds
of billions from the Fed (Reserve) out the door
months prior to the first case of covid appeared
in China will there ever be enough masks to cover
all our faces since the 21st century plague stripped
away all pretense of comity as everyone keeps on
referring back to the events of the late 1960’s and
early 1970’s the birth/rebirth of the counter-culture
unlikely feminist, gay lesbian bi trans queer and, yes
black panther power and immigrant farm worker
American Indian Movement of the people’s steeples
as if somehow we could go back to those days now
of incipient rebellion when even the very conservative
Supremes Court is forced to accept this is the other
end of half a century of cultural revolution we, that is
them us have won but the government is still the system
AKA the establishment this oppressive lid now blown
off by weeks of protest that keeps on saying this is 2020
and we need a 2020 vision, oh, without vision the people
will die and the people are dying daily, oh, so we need
that revolution prophesied in 1968 we need it
