Hello world,

I haven’t posted much due to a myriad of circumstances and trying to care for my mental health during these rough times. With that being said, I have some things I’d like to say.

If you plan on attending any protests or riots, please stay safe. More importantly, be smart. I saw way too much stupid shit on TV this past weekend. Some of y’all were seriously posing in front of a burning police car for that epic Instagram shot. Like, if I see a fire that wasn’t started for the purpose of camping, cooking or recreation, I’m getting the fuck out of there. Seriously though, don’t be reckless.

To my beautiful brown people: Take care of yourselves and each other. Don’t be afraid to vent, scream, cry, or anything that isn’t self-destructive. Trauma and PTSD are real things that aren’t simply white people problems. Please take care of your mental health. Never hesitate to shoot me a message if you want to vent. Also, remember that not every white person is your enemy. Y’all are understandably angry, but do not take that angst out on the wrong people.

To my white peeps: Just listen to people. You don’t have to have anything to say to make it all better, you just need to listen, reflect on what you’ve heard, and act thoughtfully and thoroughly.

I know there’s a lot of crazy shit in the world, but for fuck sake can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the date on the damn article before we post it?! It’s 2020 and people are still sharing articles from several years ago just because it sounds like it could happened recently. People simply read the headline without any thorough vetting to make sure the story is recent and accurate.

Most importantly, reduce your screen time and get the fuck outside. The news thrives off of bombarding us with negative shit, and social media ain’t any better. Get outside, get some fresh air, see pretty sights, and go on nice scenic drives. The screen ain’t your friend. If you don’t feel comfortable going outside then do puzzles, read a book, listen to music, pray, meditate, anything that will keep you from endlessly scrolling through social media or glued to the TV.

To end with the words of Kendrick Lamar:

NIGGA WE GON’ BE ALRIGHT!

Stay classy…
