If you see bunch of loud screaming nerds in costumes on the trains, in the city or even in bars this coming weekend, don’t fret. PAX East is coming back in town, which means we must leave our caves to go party.

The trains WILL be crowded, We WILL be loud, the trains WILL reek of BO and I apologize on the behalf of the small population who won’t shower for the next couple of days.

Boston will look like a shit show for the next few days, but don’t you worry. All good things must come to an end and when the weekend is said and done with we must all return to the caves from whence we came.

So what is PAX East you ask? PAX, which stands for Penny Arcade Expo. PAX is a celebration of all things nerdy and is the only reason some of us will leave our basements all year. With that in mind, your city is going to be busier than it will be all year with the exception of Marathon Monday.

Just a few things to bear in mind:

  1. Some nerds unfortunately don’t know what a shower is, and I would like to apologize on their behalf. You will be hitting several BO clouds in every train, bus, and restaurant within the vicinity of the convention center.
  2. Don’t even bother driving near the convention center from March 10-12th unless you absolutely have to be in that area. Summer Street is going to be super busy with people crossing every five minutes. Just don’t do it to yourself.
  3. You will see a lot of people in costumes. Please ask people before you take their pictures. Also be considerate. People spent a lot of time working on those costumes.
  4. Be prepared for crowded trains especially near the Downtown area.
  5. Your train rides will be much louder than usual. I suggest you invest in a nice pair of noise cancelling headphones. You’ll definitely need them.

Until the day of our departure comes, bear with us. Most importantly, enjoy us because when we’re gone, you’re gonna miss the excitement we brought to this little town.

Stay Classy…
