The Underground Garden: In The Beginning

SEED (Soul Enters Every Dancer) Recordings celebrates 10 years of its depth with its latest release 10 YEARS DEEP exclusively on Traxsource!

I have the great pleasure of working with SEED owner and DJ/Producer Bradford James on various projects and am honored that In The Beginning produced by Bradford and Trinidadian Deep is featured on this compilation!

IN THE BEGINNING is my Prayer and I am fortunate to share it in word, song and movement. I thank Boston based DJ/Producer Mizont for featuring In the Beginning on his latest mix, Know Pressure.

____________________________________________

Because LOVE.
In the beginning
Connection was made
Minds were impacted
Souls grew awake

Warriors were trained with the knowledge that they gained
Through divination
And while bodies were in sway

Bloodlines connected families and homes
Numbers of children bathing in love’s gold

On one direction
Heading towards three
With the moon and sun’s lights guiding
Clear thinking quick as lightning

Inner peace shining living accordingly
To the beauty that you see through the sight of a gypsy

In the beginning messages were sent
Through the ancestors reaching from Heaven

Memories kept
Stories of lives told
In the Name of all that Is
The new is just the old

We are who we’ve been
We will always be them
We are who we are
Tomorrow will be us

In the beginning
The beginning that is now
I keep my Spirit aimed towards the clouds

Ever so grateful for being held on to
Lifesaving forces manifested through me and you

May this beginning be the highest of your soul
May your minds open to the dormant that it knows

May you begin to feel the essence of your breath
May you feel beautiful
Just like the rest

In the beginning
The spark that is you
Go back home children
The key is in your root.

The Underground Garden: Playroom Boston EP

Boston (Dorchester!!!) based DJ/Producer Leo Alarcon created an amazing catalogue of music in 2016 for the underground House nation. Please stay tuned for a full feature on Leo here at the Underground Garden in 2017!!!

This week’s Underground Garden closes out 2016 by showing Gratitude to Leo for creating The Playroom Boston EP and inviting pianist/producer/songwriter/singer Giana Scola, producer Alberto “Souljah” Correia and myself into this project. It truly is a work of heART. A “DeepHouseLoveChild” as baptized by Ms. Scola. It is.

House Tribe Records released The Playroom Boston EP and made it available for all to enjoy, dedicate, dance and sing to exclusively at Traxsource. Right now you can purchase and download “Make It Home,” “You & Me,” (both versions!) and “Only Home” individually or the entire EP. You know I’m encouraging the full package! Because they are all so good!

The EP is a showcase of Leo’s intense, hard hitting heavy bass lines and unique style of Afro Latino House, Souljah’s smooth touches, Giana’s vulnerable, emotive voice and sensual lyrics and my poetic contribution on “Only Home” dedicated to the truth of hearts holding true natures, no matter the distance.

We are all Househeads. We love it, live it, support and encourage it. This EP is special in its collaborations and dedication shown toward it. Mr. Alarcon spends a day’s worth of time on each project and for his passion, we show gratitude. Whether the project is his monthly event, Sessions, his online mixes or producing, his 100% heart is there. And so is our 100% and we invite you to feel our love through sound.

We Love You & we Love Our Muses, Our Experiences, Our Healing, Our Community, Our Selves and closing out 2016 in celebration is a Blessing.

To ALL, may 2016 have been a gift, no matter the packaging, and may 2017 be the balance. I’m rooting for you and THANK YOU ODDBALL for giving me inspiration as well. I appreciate you Chad, Jason and all of the readers!!!

“Any path brings us Home.”
