Sunday Landscape

The blue yarn of summer days slowly

unravels, then comes the silky darkness;
her eyes in the mirror
half closed and waiting
for the life to come
but nobody knows what’s
next, autumn or death, as we
sit in the classroom and
vainly waiting for the teacher
to come.
The world
is filled with people
who died only once.
