Skycurrents
For Karen
Leave the bed unmade,
Leap to the ceiling with your cat.
Walk on your hands.
Open the windows.
Let the wind scatter bills, articles and
unedited magazines.
A hand rips day planner months.
Grow wings on the roof.
Land on Bonnard’s pink porch.
Parachute to Dakota’s badlands,
greet Teddy Roosevelt.
Ride an elephant
through Kipling’s jungle,
Fly with Antoine and dance.
