sleeping all day and night
tired and irritable
in my self

not pleasing the public
loosing weight
what eventual illness
not trusting people
doped on drugs
on medication
on anti-psychotic drug
psychiatry ward
casualty
high on drugs
happy pills
but im myself again
going home disabled
hostel apartment
that night and day
going home
to people I know
before bed
with tea & toast
in the morning
going to see the doctor
to get some happy pills
being cheerful
for my insanity on a high
happy pills in the doctors
in the doctors house
at the medical centre
here we go again
going home happy
again in the morning
on drugs
Illicit chemicals
cheerful again
home and wandering
onset home again
bed and board
home and free
my accommodation
set free
home and wondering
going set home again

Edward Michael Supranowicz is the grandson of Irish and Russian/Ukrainian immigrants. He grew up on a small farm in Appalachia. He has a grad background in painting and printmaking. Some of his artwork has recently or will soon appear in Fish Food, Streetlight, Another Chicago Magazine, The Door Is a Jar, The Phoenix, and The Harvard Advocate. Edward is also a published poet.
