From the forthcoming Train of Thought 2

This rehearsal life, this photograph is fading.
Not much light to shine, the contrast is off.
The world is a flower and each petal has been picked
and dried out on a gravestone.

I am one of a bunch of flowers trampled on by an overzealous God, or a villain in the heart
running each game, you can’t beat the house.
Walk out with nothing but a sad smile.

My gravestone will be:
Tried hard, but not enough for you to remember me.
This world of threes, this disease this distaste, debased.

The time stamp on this life overdue on this book.
A vessel that sank too soon.
A world of mad hatters, and only one Alice.

This world is no wonderland.
