The usual delays on the red Line
Before and after the JKK/Umass station
Where the Dorchester and Quincy lines Y-off
The train stops before going into the tunnel
To Andrew Station in old South Boston
(not South End) where then I look
Over to see the cars stuck in traffic
Jam on I-93 the big multi mega lane
Conduit through the city North
And South where they all are again
Again spewing their pollution and threatening
to over whelm everyone else
and overrun the sinuous city
never built for autos with its
curvaceous narrow streets made
of cow paths and designed for carts
so they built the subways under
ground just because of the congestion
caused by horse drawn vehicles
over one hundred years ago
but somehow they now seem to think
self driving vehicles can do it all Ha! Ha! Ha!
self driving in literal deed, right over the cliff!
