for those who were blamed/shamed for the actions of others
Why is it so easy to blame the victim?
Why is it so easy to not believe our eyes and ears?
Why is it so easy to focus on our personal comfort,
even when we know our comfort
is the product of convenience, denial and fear?
God demanded that we not bear
false witness against thy neighbor,
but what if…we choose…silence?
Can God be reasoned with?
Is God’s will negotiable?
PS…Its expensive to live in LALA land, and the interest rate alone is hell!
The next time you accept the terms
of this questionable contract
understand there are no guarantees
that the next time, the next “choosen” one
won’t be you, or someone you say you love…
because it is so easy to “blame the victim.”
