He is angry
and lacking the words and the emotions,
he blasts his music.
No, not his music,
but the music made by others.
Unable to own his anger, he trades down
emptying his mind and heart,
abdicating his responsibility to “handle his business”;
his only capital is his pain

Control what you can, but options are limited:
control or being controlled.
What a bargain!

No one wants to hear your pain, including you.
Why can’t you do what we do?
Just fill your mind with day old news stories and loud cell phone conversations
which are valued more for their volume than content

In your dream, you are driving a big car.
People respect you, and as the saying goes, “Those who don’t, fear you.”
In reality, you are just another body on the train
who gave away your destiny for a seat and a song.
