Grateful for a new day
to pick up where we left off
or start anew.

It’s November, but we’re
gifted with spring-like temps.

Sun is bright enough
for bare trees to cast shadows
on grey sidewalks

transformed by bright leaves
minutes ago carefully raked

into well currated piles now
rescattered by the wind.
Yes, a good day to just be.
