On Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. at The Paris Street Gallery (https://www.facebook.com/ParisStreetGalleryStudios?pnref=lhc) in Everett, Massachusetts there will be a serious event going down. Boston’s 19th Annual Loft Reunion!

Once upon a time in the City of Boston, there was an afterhours and it invited a large population of economically and racially diverse teenagers and adults into One Nation: A House Nation.

Earlier this year, John Barera wrote a great article on the Loft for the Red Bull Music Academy. Included in the interview were the words of DJ Bruno, one of the Loft’s original DJs and a Legend in the City of Boston and its House and Hip-Hop Communities. For 28 years and going! DJ Bruno will be, once again, dropping needles on the records, for this reunion as he has been for the past 19 years. Not only has Bruno served as The Loft Reunion’s DJ, he is its organizer, producer, promoter and foundation. The Legacy Continues and we thank him eternally for keeping this era alive and present for Us.

The spirit of Boston’s Annual Loft Reunion is in the Music. It was an epoch in which House Music began to guide itself in many directions as producers experimented and singers gave us soul in song. Dancers were born and crews united. Kids (successfully) snuck out of their houses and the party didn’t end at 2 a.m. for the adults already out on a Friday night. We all had until the sunrise to get our love in. And Love We Did.

The only words I can find in my heart are BE THERE. Experience an era of dance music as though it were those times today. The music and vibe are that alive. I’ve saved the best for last … Appearing this year is the singer of one of the Loft’s Anthems!!!! Mr. Cece Rogers!!!! I’ve got three words for you: No Love Lost!!!

Because DJ Bruno loves us (trust me he returns the love we show him!), complimentary delicacies will be provided by El Oriental de Cuba in Jamaica Plain, La La’s Haitian Restaurant in Roxbury and Le Foyer in Mattapan. Mixed CDs and Boston Loft tee-shirts will also be on site for sale and keepsake! The Paris Street Gallery will provide a cash bar until 1:00 a.m. and the party ends in true Loft fashion, at 6:00 a.m. Line up your breakfast plans Heads, it’s that time of year again!

Boston’s Annual Loft Reunion! Saturday, August 22 at the Paris Street Gallery, 101 Paris Street, Everett! Get there early and if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, go buy them now! We thank You DJ Bruno, Alvin Acoma, The Paris Street Gallery and everyone who has worked behind the scenes for allowing us to break night once again!

Viva.
