Mused by Vulnerability
Battling my own heart
Touched the flame at the bottom of the sea
How real is that heat?
This I wanted to see
My hand over the fire which sleeps
The lowest depth of Soul
Spirit told me not to go
I live this life without control
So I dove
Returning to the top with just enough air
To take a breath then dive back down
Without a care
That’s the problem
I like to swim
I’m really drowning I take too much in
Then when land is at my feet
The signs I cannot hear
There’s too much water in my ears
So I go back down
To release into rivers
The oceans in my mind
Walking on tops of waves this I must try
I come to the edge then I lose focus
So closes the lotus
I came to leave behind that which makes me blind!!!
I see the Flame dancing to my Name. It sways
I feel for my Soul fighting with Control
There’s nothing wrong with diving child just please do it right
Here are your mask, your fins
Leave here your wings
They will be waiting.
I just jump right in
Not even head first
I just float
Into the end of abyss
The end is my bliss
The end of my bliss
The flame I kiss
Then become consumed by it.
The flame I do not blame
The flame at the bottom of the sea created itself for me
The flame at the bottom of the sea exists for me
As I exist for its survival.
The waves are tidal
I feel entitled
As I swim in womblike heat.
I see the flame smiling at me
The flame grows hotter, bigger, bolder
As I come closer
I hear, “Quickly I want to hold her”
The motions towards the holding of the flame
Spark my brain
Recharge my body
Which is why I keep diving
With eyes closed
Diving towards the hold
Enthralled in the fire at the bottom of the sea
Living a contradictory reality
With the flame at the bottom of the sea.
