You know who I was
Not
What I am
You know I struggle to swim
To not
Ease breathing
With wet sands underneath my prints

Slice open my ribs
Birth new life from the abyss
And want to stay under with it

I struggled to swim through currents crossed by the wind
Closing my nostrils spinning my eyes entrapping pearls predators fly

You know who I was

Not

What I am

You know I channel switch at the twitch of a popped stitch from loved to bitch a yappy snitch finishing every sentence
At full speed

You know there’s a sound
Named after me

You know I store memory

Not

That I

Have mastered deleting unpleasantries
Trashing corrupt inaccuracies
Keep my space clean

You know who I am when time stretches backwards its hands
Palms seek traces of land
Cleared by fierce bands of hurricanes I breathe

You know who I was

Not

What I am

Rise to complete incompletable feats
Completely

Toed up arms jelly spine upright
Shoulders to knees core tight
Vision to peak
Chakras to speech
Mind kaleidoscoping

Greeter of greets

You know who I was
When that me knew you

I know what I am the who you for whom cannot come through

I the who created in my mother’s womb
Created for me and not for You

You knew who I was

Not

That I

Love gripping brooms
Handle with care every new layer consult in prayer
With Spirit There

Not

What I am

Conveyor between pain and again
Yet the behavior that aches patterns’ defense
Steamroll laid fence
Titles one head
Illusions are not reality

You knew who I was

In that dream

Not what I am at first creak yawning awake bottom of sea eel aligning
You knew who I was
Just only.

I knew who you were
And where you came from
The temperature that shaped you
The guidance that swings you
The stones you polish yourself with
The homes you demolished for them

I do not know what you are
Lost track of your star
It dimmed away far
Its name a sense of caution
Its sight an alert tick
Stellar collision avoid
Fusion protecting

From the perished
Extinct
Instinct
So be it

Dissolved disillusion of

What Love Is.

You know who I was
I know who you were
While we were trying it

After the calm lovers embalmed forgotten lives without ill intent resisting regret fret
While burning wilder in the vast forest
Lighting up pathways lined with perfect entrance
Every new lap new different the same regimens stay on connect
Know who we are because of who we’ve been

From the beginning
Until the end.

Start.

Finish.

& Then.
