You’re not hiding
Being hidden
Worn rugs and fading laughter
Charred wood and fading colors
If you love something
Let it go
Even though
You are taking your time
In coming back
I’m yours.
You fill my cup
Even in absence
Your water is steam
The world is
Simultaneously holding on to you
Because we need you
The block on my wrist cannot resist removing itself when words form in soul and come to mind
Inspiration you’re divine
Yet sometimes
Hidden by cruel realities born of unjust actions
Facing the battle to leave no heart behind
I struggle to return to center
Victory is no real accomplishment
Until victory crowns blessed realities through bejeweled actions of justice
Until equality is no longer a myth we sculpt to life
But a life we gaze upon henceforth
Until no heart requires a fort
No ego a court
And all know themselves to be essential for a balanced scale
All wield with kindness
Their Force
I never want to over love you
Anxiously obsess over your return
I know
You are always where you belong.
My blank canvas
Blank screen
Blank paper
Stretched limbs
Belong to you and I.
Inspiration I love looking into your eyes
Of this the pause in creation reminds
The world’s demands and its inhabitants’ struggles
Need your hope
Your vision
Your manifestations
You are encouragement

You can't give your life more time, so give the time you have left, more life
