Our multisensory engagement with life was a lovely play date
We saw colors as storytellers
Food as God’s messages
Sounds as cryptic gifts we received after the 100th listen
Our fingerprints devoured sensations
Scent a hypnotic meditation
Our classroom
An organic temple with no limitations
Architects of environment
Aura specific
We cared for our classmate’s
Preferences
We gazed at miniscule
Knowing its grandeur
Wondered at giants
Sought knowledge of planets
We geeked and we nerded
Freestyles were blurted
Supported the love our classmate had
As they shared
Like reporters
The news of their joy
Show off their new toy
Tell the tale of the Peace
A color means
Understanding
We are sensory beings
Protecting our essences
From maturity
My favorite classmate and me.
We lost touch though, after graduating.
