I try to have back
Like my Father gave back
My Man had your back
You could just get him back
He always had back
Because he always had backs.

I try to give back like that yet it’s crushing
All the weight
That’s why for all time He’s known as a Great.

He carried tremendous baggage tremendously lightweight
He was fast, unexpected
Yet always expected
When you needed back.

Just a fact.

No matter the struggle or sorrow
It’d be no setback
He’d find a way
Then he’d come back
And you’d get your peace back.

I try to have back
As I heal my own back
From not getting back
Or not asking back
Or not speaking back
I find my own back

As a Woman, not a Man

Balanced.

As I try to be back with light back
I know who always has my back

Papi
Dad.
