On Saturday, July 11 the Love will gather at Bishop’s Lounge in Northampton, Massachusetts. Original Jewminican Productions and 13 Artistry [https://www.facebook.com/13artistry] declare “I feel…therefore, I am” and La Femme Expression Summa’ Sirens is where you will witness these essences.
La Femme Expression events ran from 2006 until 2009 through an RSO group from Hampshire College called Hip Hop Collective. The event gained much recognition and popularity in 2008. Hip Hop Collective co-founders saw the impact it left on those who attended and who wanted to come back for more. Unlike previous years, this year’s event will encompass a much fuller perspective of la femme experience through the eyes of those who challenge societal’s definition of the word, Femme.
Soul and Blues by guitarist/vocalist Pamela Means; Rock by guitarist/vocalist Sarah Fylak; Pop/R&B/Jazz by guitarist/vocalist Joy Conz; Song by singer Ilana Morris of The Alchemystics; Dance and Pop by singer Dani Arranka; Soul in Song by I-Shea and Noni Kai of NATIVE and musical selections celebrating the Voice and Productions of Women by DJ Luna del Flor (hi everyone!), La Femme Expression is “a night to embrace all things Femme including our masculine counter parts” in an “authentic ambience of femme expressions manifesting one’s raw complexities and non-conformity.” I feel…therefore, I am!
