How does it feel to be a genie?
Knowing You can grant a wish
Knowing You behold a gift
Unknowingly just being all of this.
I do not rub you the right way
I stare at vortexes on my way
To not wish to have granted your question:
How can I personally make your day?
How does it feel to have that sway?
To know just your thought creates a sway
A swing side to side
Staring at your bottle
Can’t get to what’s inside
So I wish You would just try to Know.
So I could just know
If wishes are your thing.
Give wind to a caged bird’s wings
Open throat sings
Body spins in rings
Eye on the beholder
Growing bolder smolders steel
Reveals a body
Wishes can come true
I ask again of you to just tell me some truth
How does it feel to be a dream?
To appear fresh from steam
To seem of a stream
I wish you could hear what I see.
But you’re not of the kind listening
Your vision glistening
My depth just deepening
I bury again
Until I am ready
The views of my wish
The smile on my lips.
How does it feel to not know.
