For Pura y Carmen
In our freest states
Our sensuality translates the depth to our core
We guard our hearts while gifting wildly the visions their beats code
Intuitively
We mourn our sisters whose freedoms were dreams that kept them alive
And live our lives manifesting worlds with the law that no one
Including ourselves
Is allowed to oppress us
Again
We
Called soft
Are silk and satin
Steel, ice and fire
We are dangerous to the wicked
Fountains of inspiration to the dry
A home to the wanderers
Warriors at dusk
Lovers at dawn
We are every emotion balanced
Called in at intense volumes
To be heard
We hurt
We learn
We heal
Share the medicine
Hold our children
Care for our ancients
We are more than you’ll ever know
Our mysteries are an everlasting unfold.
