I thought we’d love math together forever
And try to calculate solutions

I thought you were my nerd

Got it!
I was a cheap thrill chaser
A memory eraser

I chose anything
To have

To accept that I had nothing

I was delusional
In denial
Believed what I was given would come back down the aisle

Never thought it would expire
Until it was retired

Best ending to a house on fire.

Now it’s me
Not sitting around waiting
To love you at your best

It’s just me
Not living in defense

I don’t wait I don’t test I don’t rest

I look because there’s plenty to see
I see the plenty but what they carrying

Only marks of chains remain

I’m free

I have become me

I look
Because I Alone

The bones
Supporting flesh called home

Atop rests a dome
A chapel
A voice bells
A laughter to hear in seashells

I look because I can see the look at me
No words however seem to leave
Smiles and shifting daily

I look but nothing it means
I like to touch and
I only touch me

This life,
Gotta keep it winning.

Next time I’ll know and not think,
Before the pinning.

At the finish line
Rocking first place ribboning.
