Well, it’s Memorial Day and that means a few things.
1. For most Americans it’s international BBQ day. I don’t know how people in MA celebrated in this crappy weather.
2. For some, it’s the day where they remember those who sacrificed their lives so that you could have BBQs and beach trips on this day. Never forget our service men, women, and even animals on this day.
*Moment of Silence*
And on a lighter note…
*Cue price is right music*
It’s the unofficial start of the summer and for many of us in urban Boston it kicks off our annual guessing game, “IS IT A FIRECRACKER OR A GUNSHOT?!” Starting now and until Labor day, you will hear various pops and bangs around your neighborhood and you’ll have to guess whether it’s a Roman candle or if someone’s getting capped more than government spending. The best part about this game is that YOU ALWAYS WIN!!!!!!
On another serious note…
Summer is usually when urban Boston’s violence rate skyrockets. More people are outside and heat makes people very irritable. Please think twice before you do anything stupid.
Stay classy folks…
