Room 280 :: Love of a Tribe
We know the Real World
Where we belong
We know we shouldn’t be here
It makes the Real World seem
Unnecessary
But it’s the Real World
And that’s where we belong.
Not through our world’s escape hatch
Landing in limited infinite time
How dare we be that happy
That relaxed
That exhilarated
That calm
How dare we find each other
And love it.
Only in doses
We can’t run around on zero sleep
Control the day on ecstasy
Smile so widely the Real World can see
Our inner cores brightly shining
The Real World is madness
Hectic
Draining
The Real World is good for training
You into believing there’s nothing good
Except its stress
How dare we escape through our safe sex?
How dare we recharge with sweet rendezvous?!
Rose scented moods
Ahhing with oooos and cradling swoons
Lighting up rooms with laughter and ease
Bringing a please with a whisper’s breeze
Silently speaking through imagined feelings
Sensing flesh before even touching
Effectively reaching that which is empty
And filling it beyond its top
With memories for life that make time stop
While in the Real World…
We sit still
And travel back to Room 127
That piece of Heaven
The meeting place where we captured Face
Danced with Grace
Did not spend a second in haste
It was our time our world in Truth
Our escape and its Spook
We know that isn’t the Real World.
So take it in doses
Take in the roses
Separate knowing
The mirage will evaporate
Into dreams and memories
The reality will soon seem
Just a fantasy
But our bodies will continue to speak
We were there
However,
We exist in the Real World
So how dare we challenge
The Real World
We know we shouldn’t change the course of our existences
That is where we belong
In doses
Scent your home with my roses
Drift to sleep with my hands on your cheeks
Rise to my smile begging Please?
May I kiss you while you dream?
The Real World cannot be distracted from
By our Mused definition of Love
Which this is not
“Traditionally speaking”
We are beyond a status quo
We are re-discovered from centuries ago
We are re-awakening the ones that we know
Giving each other the Love needed to Grow
In order to confront evil and pain overthrow
Back in the Real World.
