Events In Memoriam
By Shamaiah Tibet
They know me to hoard time.
So steal themselves away
across the horizon
To intangible places
and abandon my need
for solid moments.
I watch fighting a
blink from my eye
But miss them
transcending my
vision
completely.
And watching from
my mind’s view
While laughing
a lesson to my
distracted ego,
They force me
to live
In the second
concerning now
Moving away from
yesterday’s regrets
in the past
So, subdued I start
to enjoy
Being allowed the
opportunity for change
amidst moments
But avoid the
scrutiny of memories.
I release myself
from preoccupation
To realize that
everything
naturally
fades.
