Shamaiah Tibet’s “Events in Memoriam”

Events In Memoriam

By Shamaiah Tibet

They know me to hoard time.

So steal themselves away
across the horizon
To intangible places

and abandon my need
for solid moments.

I watch fighting a
blink from my eye
But miss them
transcending my
vision
completely.

And watching from
my mind’s view
While laughing
a lesson to my
distracted ego,

They force me
to live
In the second
concerning now
Moving away from
yesterday’s regrets
in the past

So, subdued I start
to enjoy
Being allowed the
opportunity for change
amidst moments
But avoid the
scrutiny of memories.

I release myself
from preoccupation
To realize that
everything
naturally
fades.
