ave maria

nobody’s home
why not?

because the artists didn’t draw them in
he didn’t take his time with the shading
and the light

he just sketched a few geometrical shapes
a triangle
a loose violin string
curled up like a snail shell
into the glory of eternity
and all shadows on the wall sing
