my pomegranate

it was a lucid dream
it was all too real
i just liked the way
your skin felt
when we touched
it was God
it was the devil
an abyss of flames-
was your heart
it was you
it was the idea of you
that consumed me
called itself love
said it was heaven
eunoia
it was zeus
it was hades
lighting in the dark skies
and the dead-
it was the dead
tearing at my skin
it was tartarus
it was hell
