Her Hair

I am on a different time schedule than my love
but her hair is still in this book, in the carpet
it gets stuck in my pen, in my pussy
like the cat’s hair, there, it’s everywhere
she’s everywhere but not next to me now
we are on different sleeping schedules
sex too, sex shouldn’t be time but it is
I get pissed when she doesn’t
put her clothes away or hear what I say
but here is where I stay
here, is where I stay

Tate (she/her): “My art includes topics such as sex work, addiction, queer love/life, and more. I currently live in various Airbnbs across the country filling my days with solitude because I guess we are supposed to live alone and know ourselves at some point.
