Prayer for the Faithfully Departed

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
we pray for the soul of this dearly departed computer.

Suffocating until blue in the face,
trying incessantly to forgive itself.
The priests of tech must exorcise
the body and host of the hardware,
like the crippled and lame the Lord
sought to bring His message.

But like Christ forsaken by His Father on the Cross,
I too have been forsaken by my technocratic Father on the Desk.

On the third day of vacation, the computer rises from the dead.
Salvation, at last, is at hand!
