When a Heart Bursts
Pressure, pressure, pressure
Presses her–– a sweetie, honey, baby
Made of ice and snow she let him go when she
Cupped her hands around it–– him, he, his mouth, the flame that
Thawed her, broke her, bled her to
Hysteria, a wisteria snow, baby
Bit back when she
Dripped on the kitchen counter, dousing him, he flickered
The dead don’t dissolve
