At Home
At home,
The creases straighten,
The lines drawn taut
Snap with a rustle
Of forgotten pages…
At home,
I breathe the fresh shower,
Bathe in oils of memories
That leave trails
Wherever I walk…
At home,
You haunt my thoughts,
Every pause your smile,
Your eyes follow me
Into bed…
At home,
Time turns and runs back,
Pushing me into reveries
Of all that was never –
I’m left sighing…
