how i’d like to go

i can plunge my body down and deep
find the moonlight on the white sand beach
and hear the silence echo
in my ears like drums

finally i’ve found the honest waters
clean and pristine
i drink it as i breathe
i hope that i will die down here
one day, i will die

the moon will see my silver shadow
at the bottom of the sea
and with her teeth she sends me peace
her smile in the sky
that i gaze upon through puckered waters
the strings of pearls that shine
and waves that sing me my goodbye
