“A Brave Fron Confronts the Fear Behind It” © Edward Michael Supranowicz
Rage
broken bones. always followed
by heartfelt apology
and still the pain. all the
sorrow for someone’s love.
Not knowing when or why
but a fist or a kick
or a shove. days like me
bleeding into night. shadows
dull memory. you mouth the
words I love you, but all i
feel is mercy deferred. All i
feel is agony and fear. and
loneliness. and not loving me.
mostly fear of the next rage.
