Twins

I, am a human being.
Yin yang personified
Angel with horns.
Balanced diet of a daring devil
With wings and a halo.
Flesh, blood, and bones
Rattling for babies and snakes alike.
Vaping marshmallow cloud made
From forest fires of land and soil.
Magmatic mountain side by side
With an Arctic ocean glacier.

I, am a human being.
Species among species.
I can carry myself
Less than fifty five centimeters short just as
Eight foot eleven inches tall.
I can be a fourteen hundred pound buffalo
Just as a four and a half pound tortoise.
I can have fingers, toes, teeth, limbs and eyes
Identically, I can have nothing.
My voice box can have two hundred thirty decibels A
Next to savoring silence.

I, am a human being.
Ancestor among ancestors.
Cross country continental tribes
With time and nature evolving
Me from chimps by One percent.
Cousins from ants to antelopes,
From snails to whales.
Primates particle back to mammals,
Mammals moved on from reptiles,
Reptiles wreak havoc surviving,
Thriving in stride
Of creative copulation.
Creation from seaweed and trees
To jellyfish and a sponge.
Microbes divide by heat,
Oceans form from cold,
Sky of air makes it so.

I, am a human being.
I am Earth, fire, water and sky.
I am Jesus, Yahweh, Allah and Brahma.
I am Dineii, Yosin, Unelanvhi and Wa’kan Tanka.
I am Zeus, Jupiter, Vishnu and Shiva.
I am Olodumare, Oshun, Sakra, Bondye, Hathor and Ra!
I, am God

And so are you.

 

LUCCI (Listening, Understanding, Caring, Considering, Inquiring) was a poet, actor and comedian who enjoyed being creative while making positive change and entertaining in the process. He featured in such places as Boston Talent Showcase, Stone Soup Poetry, Wierdstock 2011, The 2nd Annual Haught Pink Breast Cancer Fashion Show. and Writer’s Block. He also was featured in the independent film Supa Dupa. LUCCI passed away in August of this year.
