Watching
patiently.

Wwaiting for
transformation

of winter-worn
cement sidewalks

reframed in
warmer palettes,

varying shades
of local fauna

mixed with
foot traffic.

Birds start
chirping

and kids
run around

chasing
each other

and their
shadows,

sharing updates
about toys,

school, siblings,
pets and parents.

Tis the season
of anticipation.
