i’ve worked hard all my life

fork tongued medusas,
and goliaths with stone hearts
is this all the world can
condone or be?
it rather sickens me the apathy
that runs through their veins
like blood
as if they’ve never needed help or
someone to lean on,
and i’m so sick of everyone acting as if
lacking emotion and acting robotic is a strength
it’s not;
everyone feels and our greatest strengths should
be our love and our emotions
anyone who says different clearly is less than human
because we all hope and we all dream—
who are they to say whose dreams matter more?
i will accomplish everything i’ve set out to do
and more
because all this hard work will not be for nothing
i deserve more than that
worked hard all my life so i’m going to smash these nightmares
until i am drowning in my dreams that have become realities.
