The door was left open on purpose,
the key was lost years ago.
She kept all the contents of the room in her mind.
They were often rearranged by her different moods.

She never entered the room,
it was forbidden by the energy
that consumed it.

Some say the energy came directly
from her, while others believed it was
from something foreign.
No one knew for sure, but she always
had a faint smile upon her face.

She laughed and cried at sorrow
clinging to memories that a lost key remembered.
She could see it dangling in her mind,
and she believed she would find it one day.

She never did.
