Spite

Spite wrestles moments
Morphs into days
Multiplying years
Feeling forsaken and forgotten
Ah, the portals of fear

They let him or her win

No, not human
The festering poison feasts
Angels bare release
“Erasing” creates everlasting ghosts
Replacing it does not
Make it go away

We read pray and talk
Lift up the spirit in our walk
Fear, the fierce culprit
We breathe, meditate and write
We wish it to flee
Just go!
Alas, wishing makes nothing
So
On some progress
We feed the cup
Action begins
Speed up
