Elsa’s Cat

I feed Elsa’s cat
when she’s away.
When Elsa’s home,
I feed her
and the cat looks on.

When Elsa’s away,
I rub my fingers
through her cat’s long fur,
feel its purr
through my tingling bones.

When Elsa’s home,
the cat is unnecessary.
