Leaning into the Fan
All the evidence of a singing dildo
lashed to a plate
and dancing a jig for a brand
new paint job, the white
washed walls bleeding under
the gypsum and the dye; you
can’t hide some evidence—
truth will out, so they say—
and as the blot spreads
like syrup on the pancake face
of terror you can hear
the windows screaming,
screaming for recognition,
for vice, for band aids and oranges,
chanting for more time and more
lies and more alibis, just
another little piece of cake
or a jingle in the stocking,
a bonus of gold for ignoring
the true substance which hit
the fan and coated the con-
stitution and the market
terminals, the motherboards
eager now to give birth
to another report on the porno
hurricane and the lady of the licks;
the way we know reality
is simply by the tingle
or the stink
