amazing potential
the color
isn’t really
just the color
but you knew that
and all the efforts we make
are absolutely perfect
even when the directions they bring us
are startling and unexpected
we get to travel
we get to stand up on new legs
like dogs
from a distant universe

I love the way this poem takes you in as if on the journey of itself and like the poem, I find myself trying to “Stand” like a dog “from a distant universe… I’m trying right now.”
