Then I Left
I went there
And she was
accommodating, alive, animal-loving, artsy, awesome, beautiful, busy, city, comfortable,
common, compartmentalizing, complex, confusing, cool, country, cuddly, cute, cute as
hell, deep-feeling (she feels DEEPLY. what’s the word for one who FEELS
deeply/intensely!?), different, divergent, emotional, empathetic, Finnish, fragile,
incomparable, in her head, maternal, multi-lingual, multi-tasking, protecting, sensitive,
sexy (while trying hard to NOT be), similar, simple, sleepless, sleepy, soft, soulful, torn,
uncommon, unique, vegan (of course she’s vegan), wary, worried …
… among other things
Then I left.
D.B.Shea: “I am happy. Because I am becoming the cranky, cantankerous, bitter old man that I had always hoped I would become. Dreams really do come true. I’ve lived a non-conventional life. (Non-conventional is different from un-conventional.) I reflect backward, and think forward. I observe. I mutter, talk to myself, and rant. And write. Poetry and other words.”
Thomas Riesner: “I was born in Leipzig,Germany in 1971 and I still live here today. Already in elementary school I often painted “abstract” instead of the given concrete drawing. I later retained this style or changed it to “abstract figuration ” I painted a lot at home, always without professional guidance. I didn’t have any specific role models. When I start a picture, I only have a certain idea, but often something completely different emerges. I would describe myself as an outsiderart artist.”
