Orient of Love

You give me hope
Because of your Love
Because of your ancient wisdom in ways so young

You open windows
Letting in the light
Of memories
Of how things can be

the mirror

An easiness to remember
That there are still seasons rich
Coveted
From the Harmony of lovely
Fine things
Amidst the thousand golden
Rings

How a flower
Grows into a seed
Supplying vineyards
From the Tree of life..
Silence after storms
Hovering…scattering-brambled breaking strands of strife

Life is everywhere

Where the sun
keeps shining
Where the time
Keeps holding the days

And always
Give time
for Us to play
Oh
For the returning
Moonlight
To let us sleep
Under the shades
And the
Sheaths;
Uncovered
From the bed_place
Where dreams return
And reassure us
In in our longings

In wakeful presence
And within supplication
these offerings of this new day

Oh say-

How lucky to see
how lucky
To feel the humility of our beseeching
Inside the prayers of our entreating.
Lifting me
And you
Closer to worship
And sweet rejoicing

remain in evanescence

Regain in recompence

To walk among the fields
To rush into these arms of loving
To be lifted up
Upon the shouldered strength of another’s welcome

In mid air
We see the rooftops of our houses
And find the recognizing faces
Their hands are waving
In the path towards home

I shall be within these rooms
I shall smell the aromas
Of mint
And the spurred musk
Of sweat and Thyme soup
Be beneficent
To the hands that feed me
Be closer to
The melodies
Of the lingering
Flute player
And I shall sing
And I shall bend
Upon this lit of music’s Melody
From here
From this place
Called home

And I shall be among you
And the wee ones
Oh strong God of love
And among the sacred Dove
Among the Griot
sent to earth
To Us
Calling names!
Circling our sacred frame
To enter withing the ritual game
The golden Calabash
The lineal Vein
Of
Centra’_lucence
dancers of the Kin
Expansion of Rim

A Poem of remembrance
A Poem that Orient’s from the Story of Love
and
Of the wondrous
and
Of the olden;
And the young.

This one is for you and Me

For all of Us
