Crazy Like a Poet

We walk with
ghosts on a raw ego highway
breathe in the dust of all that lives
and the origin of stars
velvet vibrations
in theatrical clouds

holding the line between worlds
holding a yin-yang pendant
over its astral core

where events shatter myths
of who anyone is….

like me, with Venice sliding by
on the last voyage with my mother
in youthful confusion
still living with open
alien airwave sensors
breathing color, smelling design
straddling words.

With or without drugs
I go on like Shakespeare
writing dialog
for a nest of fairies

under haloed mimosa trees.

Bonnie Matthews Brock is a Florida-based photographer, as well as a school psychologist. Her images have been published in Ibbetson Street, The Somerville Times, Oddball Magazine, Beyond Words Literary Magazine, and Wild Roof Journal. Her work is archived at Harvard University, the University of Buffalo, and Poets House in NYC. Bonnie loves to capture, in images, a very wide range of subjects, and to learn and experiment with shooting and editing techniques.
