In a Pandemic
Air becomes gold and physical gold becomes nothing.
Sunset becomes sunrise and every sunrise becomes a calling.
Chirps of morning birds become a significance, a simple hello becomes
an inheritance.
A promise breathes pure, soon becomes a prayer.
You hold the hand of a loved one tight, so tight like a quote from a
famous individual.
Individualism becomes a bygone.
Become one, whisper a passionate prayer, hold hands, everyone.
Every one becomes an everything.
Amadeo Mendoza: “I was born in Quezon City, Philippines: the son of a strict soldier father and a chef mother. I am a former literature instructor at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines where I finished an MA in Creative writing degree. My poems have been published in almost all literary journals in my country and a poem has been published in Gargoyle Magazine, issue 74.”

“Every one becomes an everything”
beautiful Buddha-like sentiment . . . i had similar thoughts during the pandemic . . . great time to re-evaluate what it ‘really’ is to be human . . . Oneness is there for the ‘realization.’
