Ghost Journey
I used to rail against
those ridiculous new
car ads where a solo
occupant would take the wheel
and casually negotiate city
streets or highways through the green
landscapes and not one other
vehicle would ever be in sight despite
our populous planet.
Now I see them for
what they are: premonitions
or time leakages
of a lone news
reporter cataloging their ghost
journey through the locked
down Wuhan.
Milan.
London…
anywhere.
