Authentic Energy
Is being seen as too much valid to be misread?
For people to not try to gauge me instead?
What I share immediately gets shoved aside,
So I feel my own validity getting denied,
Despite what I experience and see,
I feel shame and embarrassment in me,
As I’m not attempted to be taken seriously,
Maybe it’s best to give into people’s POVs,
But I realize I’m not everyone’s cup of tea,
Much like how not everyone is for me,
My voice and desires are worthy,
I shouldn’t let rejection make me flee,
Or question my validity,
I’m enough,
Those who swiftly brush me off aren’t tough,
It’s good for me to feel,
It’s good to know that my emotions are real,
I’m worthy of being taken seriously,
So I shouldn’t feel so melancholy,
Since people hearing me fills them with glee,
And they also see me.
